'Art as an Industry' Symposium - Quirindi - New South Wales
Organisations within the New England North West region have come together to facilitate the development and delivery of a series of Regional Symposiums focussed on the development specific to the visual arts sector and creative industries.
The symposium follows on from those staged in Armidale, Tamworth, Moree and Inverell. The symposiums respond to issues identified by artists and arts organisations within the region and explore Industry Development opportunities.
Rodney Swansborough was one of the presenters at the symposium and spoke from a full time artist's perspective.

 

 

 

 

 

Festival of Flowers is a month long event and a highlight in the Hunter Valley Tourism calendar, being the feature Spring event for Hunter Valley Gardens. The festival is all about celebrating spring and seeing Australia’s biggest display garden at its best.

Rodney Swansborough will be demonstrating his chiaroscuro portrait technique in the artist zone is an area in the amazing Sunken Garden under the waterfall where people are able to watch artists create a masterpiece.
The Gardens is a beautiful place to enjoy painting and this is an activity that is greatly appreciated by visitors.
